Welcome to the home page of the 'Philippine Railways Historical Society', which was set up to help and encourage fans of the Philippine railways. The PRHS main goal has been to research and share Philippine railway information, help others with a similar interest and answer the many questions from tourists heading there for a holiday.
-
My other interests lay in railways around the Australasian region (Australia, Fiji, South East Asia). For lots of information, forums and other items related to them, please check out LocoShed Australasia.

We are currently in the middle of a rebuild of the website which will be continuing through the first half of 2011. Plans are afoot for a section by section look at stations and infrastructure, latest heritage/preservation news section and updates on current rail operations and expansions.
Expect many changes as the society is placed through a transformation.

~~ ALONG DA RILES ~~
Now Available As A FREE E-zine!

Philippine railway and transportation news, reports and information, historical and current, all for you FREE in every issue.

Along Da Riles was first conceived in 2008 when the Philippine Railways SIG was transforming into the 'Philippine Railway Historical Society' and was starting an ill-concieved project to help a railway society in the Philippines that was to save heritage items for the future.

Despite the money raising activities ceasing, Along Da Riles continued to gain popularity. With no income flowing in, the magazine was up to a couple of generous Aussies to keep going until the numbers were becoming to large.
It was then decided to offer an e-zine version with the more common paper version.

Subscribing and Unsubscribing is easy.

Either visit the Along Da Riles Mailing List.
or

To Unsubscribe do the same, using 'unsubscribe'.

We do hope you will enjoy our occasional e-zine which is compiled with the help
of the Philippines foremost railfan observers and photographers.

From time to time editors are required to help with certain topics. It is pretty easy work, so if you c an help, please drop the society an email.
